Website Builder

Demo SiteA WBCCI Unit, Region or Intra-club website is the ideal tool for communicating with members. But starting and maintaining a website for your group requires a domain name, a hosting account, a database, FTP, HTML and a whole alphabet soup of acronyms that can make normal people dizzy. WBCCI wanted to bring the experience to our members, so we created WBCCI.net, where WBCCI groups can very quickly create, build and maintain their own full-featured, customizable website without a lot of technical knowledge.

There are no servers to configure, no domain names to register and no complex coding to learn. Just fill in a couple of online forms, verify an email, get a password and your website will be set up.

Group websites can serve as both an online Newsletter, where you can publish announcements, news, rally reports and other timely information, and a Reference Center, with “static” web pages for less time-dependent content like an annual rally schedule, officer and committee listings, photo galleries and such.

Publish News Articles

news PageNews articles and announcements posted on your website are treated differently than Pages. As in a newspaper, articles typically have a byline, a dateline and are categorized by topics. By default, the most recent Article posted is set to show up as the lead story on your home page. When a new article or announcement is posted, it becomes the lead story and earlier articles move off the front page. Articles maintain their chronology and eventually are archived by month for easy reference. Anything you might publish in a newsletter can be published as an Article on your website.

Create Web Pages

Pages allow you to publish important information on a “static” web page, that is, one that doesn’t change. Pages are great for listing officers and committees, providing information on membership, publishing your unit calendar and yearly rally schedule.

The Website Starter Kit

The Website Starter Kit is a collection of files that will help you get started as a webmaster. It also holds the key to adding all the content from the Demo Unit website very quickly. Revise the text with your group’s information, and you are practically done!

Share Some Files

Membership applications, brochures, lists and news releases are just a few of the file types that can be shared. Units can upload and share images, PDFs, Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. File types are limited to: jpg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt

Keep Some Things Private
